About Me
Hi! My name is Greg. I was born in 1966 so you work it out if you’re interested!

What you’re looking at here is a collection of my poems, verses and lyrics which I wanted to post somewhere where people could see them.
These poems are respectfully and fondly dedicated to five English teachers – Sarah Hussey, “Bernie” Philips, Mary Baird (now Mary Tebay), Martin Long and Janet Lewis, with thanks for all their patience!
The poems were originally hosted on a dedicated “free poetry site” which has now started limiting options for non-paying users so I decided to set up on my own here to display my work to the world! What you (should) see is a list of titles in the right sidebar of the page. Clicking on the title will hopefully take you to the page displaying that poem. Easy, eh?
I hope you like some of the poems. Feel free to leave a comment and let me know even if you don’t!
Love and stuff
Greg xxx
P.S. If you find yourself looking at this page with no sidebar then here’s a link home.
P.P.S. Incidentally – all poems etc are copyright Greg Harrop!

Your poetry is very moving, moving me more than once to tears and goose bumps, not exactly in that order.
A good friend sent me into your portal, she figured rightly that I could relate to your work. I’ll thank her here for being so good to me always, and for giving me courage when I am at my darkest and sending me your way. Thank you Cheryl/mad baggage. If Cheryl is mad then I want to be deemed a lunatic too, because she is of the finest quality around.
Greg, I’m off to the laundry mat to wash blankets, as my poor old washer would no doubt cough them out still soiled and might even throw a belt in the process, but I intend to mark you spot, read your words and draw strength from them through the shared emotion of the human condition. Your writing in art form of high quality. Lori
