A Father’s Fears
Born into days of steel and stone
With fear the power behind each throne.
My children’s lives before them wend
With happiness and grief to blend.
Face life, girls, and be not afraid
To walk the paths before you laid.
Love truth, choose wisely, honour trust
And dare do all that do you must.

This is such a wonderful poem. I love the brevity of it. But, the last two lines are supreme.
