I Could Love You

I could love you in the morning, or the evening of the day,
In the chill winds of November or the sleepy warmth of May.
‘Neath the falling leaves of ochred gold or endless azure sky
I will live my life to be with you until the day I die.

I could love you in the evening, and beneath the nightly mime
Of the breathless, pearly moon and starlight from the deeps of time.
Beneath all creation’s canopy I’ll pledge my love to you.
And worship you with life and soul until time and times are through.

I could love you in the night, and in the morning of the day.
Dewfall sparkles in your eyes and light grows gently where you lay.
While Earth still turns I’ll love you ‘till the sky is burned aflame
And pray all the Gods that Man has known that you will feel the same.
