Rainbows
All goes on, whatever the weather.
The mists of the world about us twine.
A rain will fall on all our triumphs,
Our sun-scorched hopes wither on the vine.
But still around are some who’ll help us
To find hope in the darkest of days
And raise a smile with vibrant colours
Which illuminate life’s weary maze.
Rainbows, I see rainbows
In every corner of the sky.
Rainbows, I see rainbows
To take away the tears I cry.
Rainbows, you are rainbows.
I know there’s no-one can deny
That you sparkle like there’ll never be another day.
Take me away.
Face the world, whatever the heartbreak.
And rise above the endless spite
For hope will flare when least expected
With star-kissed souls unveiling their light.
So raise your eyes and look around you
See the marvel in heaviest skies.
The diamond lights upon you shining
To pierce the gloom that’s before your eyes.
Rainbows, I see rainbows
In every corner of the sky.
Rainbows, I see rainbows
To take away the tears I cry.
Rainbows, you are rainbows.
I know there’s no-one can deny
That you sparkle like there’ll never be another day.
Take me away.
