Your Light

Here on this stage I’ll play my part
And resolutely ply my art.
I’ll be the one who loves you true,
Each night I’ll play the fool for you.

With all my skills and crafty guiles
I’ll have ‘em rolling in the aisles.
I’ll swagger through my curtain calls,
Blow empty kisses for the stalls.

So on this stage I’ll live my life
And cast you always as my wife.
Our stage direction: my heart aches,
Your light through yonder window breaks.

That’s really very good. Particularly liked the last verse.
